Ana P. and Moritzia M. - Educators

“Hello I’m Ana Perdomo, an early educator and family childcare provider, and I’m here in support of this Common Start campaign and we’re calling on our legislators to pass this bill and invest more funding in early education and childcare because families, especially after the pandemic, need more funding for better education and futures. It’s important that you (legislators) invest and hear our voices from the community for this investment for 0-5 year olds. It improves social emotional as well as future skills for our future generations.

Complementing Ana’s story, I’m Maritza Manrique, also an early educator and family childcare provider from East Boston.  We are here supporting Common Start because it’s important that legislators also support this bill because this funding is greatly needed for early education and childcare.  We need this funding to be passed.Parents, providers want to stabilize our programs and businesses.  We need different community providers.  Vouchers need to be increased so that parents have the confidence to have providers available so they can go to work.  We are making this urgent plea to legislators that this bill will be significant, highly beneficial for early education and childcare.  Remember, early education and childcare provides to children and they are the future of our country.
