Ellian M. - Educator

I have worked in this field for almost three years now and I began working in this field because of my love for working with children and education. One of the biggest obstacles I have dealt with is the difficulty of being a male in an early childhood education program with public opinions. Pay is one thing in the system that needs to be fixed. The economy does not reflect the work needed to be a childcare educator. We have an important task at the most important time of a child's life and when they take in the most information, at ages 0-5.

A affordable, high-quality program would be huge as an educator. Sometimes, no matter how good the staff, the quality of a program is what can further extend a child's development to its greatest capabilities through the program as a whole. It would still stress a need for educators all around as bringing your child to a early childhood education program takes advantage of the development of your child.

Educators need to be paid more as people are not being recognized as they should be from a economic standpoint for the work needed and the importance of this field.
