“I have worked in the childcare field for four years at this point, I began working in this field because I always have felt that I enjoy teaching and working with children. Some of the biggest obstacles I deal with in the childcare field are being able to consistently plan age-appropriate lessons that all children can meet expectations for. The resources we can use should be expanded and more available to teachers to make teaching easier.
The higher quality a center is the more enhanced a children's learning can become - it is important to me as there will be more things available to teach and it is important to the children as better quality education means better learning for the children, it would be very different if such programs existed.
Yes, lawmakers should know about our needs as we recover as this is an extremely difficult time for the children and the educators and they should know the proper steps to have a good education with this setback.
COVID has been a huge setback and a massive change of pace for childcare centers, I feel we should be concerned about the entire centers’ health and safety and also the proper way to teach the children when following guild lines.”
