“I have been in the childcare field for about a year and a half at my school, I started ‘working’ as an educator because I love being around children and I love watching them grow and learn the information that we teach them. The biggest obstacle to deal with is seeing a child upset or afraid to leave their parent/guardians side. It is an obstacle to make the child used to leaving their guardian for school and make them comfortable with you because they have been with their parent/guardian for their whole lives, so we have to do everything to make sure the child is comfortable, is learning and that they're having fun.”

“The existence of a more affordable, high-quality early education and child care program would mean for me as an educator that there would be more children coming to learn because it is more affordable. The difference if this program existed would mean that there would be bigger classrooms, with a lot more children and more teachers. “

“Lawmakers and policymakers should know about our needs as educators. As we recover from the COVID-19 crisis we will need more cleaning supplies and safety rules when it comes to the children.”
