“I have worked in the early childhood education field for three years as a teacher’s assistant. The biggest obstacle that I deal with on a daily basis, working as a teacher’s assistant, is trying to work with the children that have behavioral issues and have issues concentrating. Something to fix the system would be giving free education to young children and families that cannot afford a high-end education for an astronomical amount of money.
This COVID-19 crisis has affected me by breaking my heart that I can’t see the children I was able to educate and assist while in the classroom I couldn’t even see them graduate this year. My concern, once the Childcare system reopens, is that many children will be sick due to their lacking ability to be mindful of how germs spread.”
